What it does

Linesmith Line Sheets turns your Shopify products into wholesale line sheets: PDF catalogs with product images, SKUs, variants, wholesale prices and MSRP, plus Excel order forms that buyers fill in with quantities. Catalogs are built from your live product data each time you generate them, and every change in the editor is saved automatically.

Creating a line sheet

Open the app from your Shopify admin and click "New catalog". Choose which products to include, the layout, what to show and the pricing, then click "Generate PDF" or "Generate Excel order form". Generation runs in the background; large catalogs can take a minute. The finished file appears under Generate with an "Open" link and a "Copy link for buyers" button.

Choosing products

• All active products.
• A collection, in the collection's own sort order.
• Products matching a search, using Shopify's product search: for example tag:spring-2027, vendor:Northwind or product_type:Tents.
• Hand-picked products, chosen with Shopify's product picker. Tick "Include draft and unlisted products" to include products that aren't active. Each plan has a maximum number of products per catalog; if a selection has more, the first products up to the limit are included and the catalog says so.

Layouts and fields

Grid layout shows large product images, 2, 3 or 4 per row. List layout shows a thumbnail and one row per variant (size, color…) with SKU and stock. Choose US Letter or A4 paper and whether to include a cover page. Show or hide SKU, price, variants, stock levels, vendor, barcode and a short description.

Pricing

Retail prices show your Shopify prices, optionally with compare-at prices. Wholesale prices (Starter plan and above) apply a percentage discount to retail prices and show the retail price as MSRP. Choose "No prices" for a catalog without prices. Prices use your store's currency.

Cover page and logo

Set the title, subtitle, introduction and contact details (name, email, phone, website) shown on the cover page. On the Starter plan and above you can upload a PNG or JPEG logo (up to 1 MB) for the cover page.

Excel order forms

Starter plan and above. The order form has one row per variant with product, variant, SKU, barcode, vendor, price, MSRP, stock, a Quantity column for the buyer and line totals that calculate automatically, plus an order total.

Sharing with buyers

"Copy link for buyers" copies a private link to the file that works without a Shopify login, so you can email it to wholesale buyers. Links and files expire after 30 days; generate the catalog again for a fresh link with current products and prices.

Plans

• Free: 1 catalog, up to 25 products, PDF, with a small "Made with Linesmith Line Sheets for Shopify" footer.
• Starter: 5 catalogs, up to 250 products each, Excel order forms, wholesale pricing, cover logo, no footer.
• Pro: unlimited catalogs, up to 1,000 products each.
• Scale: unlimited catalogs, up to 5,000 products each. Paid plans are billed by Shopify and start with a free trial. Change or cancel any time under Plans → Change plan.

Troubleshooting

• "No products matched this catalog's selection": the collection is empty, the search matches nothing, or the products are drafts (tick "Include draft and unlisted products").
• "The selected collection no longer exists": choose another collection.
• An image is missing: the product has no featured image, or the image couldn't be loaded; generate again.
• A product shows "(more options available)": it has more than 40 variants; the first 40 are listed.
• Excel order forms or wholesale pricing are greyed out: they're part of the Starter plan and above.

Data and privacy

The app reads products and inventory only (read_products, read_inventory); it never accesses customers or orders. Catalog settings and generated files are stored on our server; files are deleted after 30 days, and everything is deleted 48 hours after you uninstall the app. Privacy policy: https://iiclabs.com/privacy
